Reminder: 2024 Jacques and Clarisse Family Reunion – Important Details!

Dear Family,

We hope you’re as excited as we are for the 2024 Jacques and Clarisse Family Reunion! As the event approaches, we wanted to send a friendly reminder and share some important details to help ensure everything goes smoothly.

  1. Payment Reminder: If you haven’t paid your reunion fee yet, please do so at your earliest convenience by following instructions here. This helps us finalize the preparations and ensure a great experience for everyone.
  2. Receipts for Expenses: If you have incurred any expenses related to the reunion, please submit your receipts to Adrienne at louisekervin@gmail.com for reimbursement. This will help us keep track of expenses and ensure everything is accounted for.
  3. Setup on Friday: If you have a camper or tent to set up, the site will be accessible as of 9 AM on Friday.
  4. Parking Instructions: Parking will be available at the event site. Please follow the signs and/or directions from volunteers to ensure cars remain away from kids’ play areas.
  5. Heritage Items: If you have any family heritage items you’d like to share or display, please bring them along. They’ll be part of our heritage showcase, celebrating our family’s history.
  6. PEI Quilt Hang-Out Day – Saturday, August 3rd: Don’t miss our Quilt Hang-Out session where we’ll display Aunt Alvina’s quilts. Join us in reminiscing about her stories.
  7. Schedule: We’ve updated the schedule, which is available https://gallantreunion.com/?page_id=1378. A poster with the latest details will also be available on-site.
  8. Clam Digging: For those interested in clam digging, given the number of participants expected, having your own bucket will ensure you get the most out of this fun activity.
  9. Slip and Slide: For a splash of fun for the kids, we’ll have a slip and slide set up at the grounds. Remember to bring a bathing suit, towel and a change of clothes to stay dry and comfortable throughout the day.
  10. Intergenerational Dance: We’re having a special intergenerational dance! Please bring capes, boas, wings, costumes, wigs, air guitars, funny faces, and overbites as a fun way for everyone to dance and enjoy together.
  11. Talent Show Reminder: We’re hosting a talent show, so don’t forget to prepare your act! Whether you sing, dance, perform magic tricks, or have another talent, we’d love to see it. Sign up by Friday if you haven’t already by contacting Harlee Grenier at harleegrenier@gmail.com or via text at 902-215-0865 to sign up.
  12. Karaoke: Get ready to showcase your vocal talents! We’d love to hear your song ideas for karaoke. Please send your suggestions to lisalachlan@gmail.com so we can prepare a fantastic lineup.
  13. Acadian Colours: For our group photos, please wear Acadian colors (blue, white, red, and/or yellow) to show our pride and unity. We want these pictures to be a vibrant reflection of our family spirit.
  14. Site Cleanliness: We kindly ask everyone to help out in keeping the site clean. Please dispose of trash properly and assist in tidying up after meals and activities. Let’s keep our reunion space as beautiful as it is enjoyable!
  15. Healthy Practices: We’re committed to everyone’s health and safety, especially for our aging family members and those with chronic conditions. Please follow healthy practices, to ensure a safe and enjoyable time for all.

We’re looking forward to a fantastic reunion filled with fun, laughter, and cherished memories. If you have any questions or need further information, feel free to reach out.

See you all soon!

Warm regards,

Elaine, Denise, and Nanette Black
